Ikuo Nakamura captured the Northern Lights in 3D, creating a stereoscopic image of the phenomenon by placing 2 cameras 5 -10 Km apart under -30 degree freeze environment. He is a very first filmmaker shot 3D film of Aurora, projecting out front of screen. All images were shot in Northwest Territories in Canada in 2013-2014. This is an excerpt from this full movie, called Aurora Borealis 3D (2015).
